Part 5: One

[In this series "My Tattoo's and You" each post will be about what that week's specific tattoo means to me and hopefully it will mean something to you as well. Thank you for stopping by!]

One. They say that it is the loneliest number. And rightfully so. One of anything could never accomplish something meaningful…or could it?

This tattoo is a rock that spells the word “ONE.” The rock is being cast into water and therefore is causing a ripple effect to take place. The Ripple Effect is a extraordinary perspective to view life.

It is essentially the concept of cause.and effect. Every action you do or do not do will have an effect that will echo throughout the coming decades and centuries of what will be history. For a good, practical example of the Ripple Effect and how one event can effect all of history, I would suggest you read Ray Bradbury’s short story titled A Sound of Thunder. (I would encourage you to read the whole story here: A Sound of Thunder )

My point is merely this: since we are all going to have an effect on this world, both in the present and in the future, why not become intentional and make our impact a positive One.

 Soli Deo gloria
