Part 7: Live One Verb Everyday

[In this series "My Tattoo's and You" each post will be about what that week's specific tattoo means to me and hopefully it will mean something to you as well. Thank you for stopping by!]

Live one verb everyday.

Okay so I have to admit that I don’t actually have this tattoo…yet.  This is my idea for my next one though.  I do not know where on my body that I will get it, so it is still in it’s infant stage, but someday I will get it.

Have you figured out the hidden message behind it yet?  I’ll give you a hint by giving you what inspired me to get this.  A couple of months ago I wrote a couple acrostic-ish style poems.  In the midst of writing, I stumbled upon writing this phrase; and it just stuck.

It has a very similar meaning to my “Be Love” tattoo (you can read about it here).  The idea here is very simple: the one verb I am trying to live everyday is Love.  Love is a verb.  Ephesians 5 says, “Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (emphasis mine)

A life of Love means that every single day should be a day filled with the Love of God.  It means that I want to approach every situation and act in a way that God would act in that situation, acting in Love.

If there is anything I can do everyday of my life, it would be to Live One Verb Everyday.

Soli Deo gloria

(SPECIAL GUEST NEXT WEEK!: It is a post by one of my favorite people in the world, you won’t want to miss it!)
